Children's Center
Please note: The Children's Center is a Berkshire United Way supported program.
The Children’s Center provides an environment that encourages and stimulates the development of all aspects of a child’s growth.
Our teachers and staff believe that all children are special and unique, that they develop at their own pace, should be accepted unconditionally and should be treated with respect, patience, understanding and fairness.
Our dedicated staff and flexible programs provide a safe, secure and nurturing atmosphere where your child can grow and thrive. Our daily schedule is designed to allow children both indoor and outdoor activities, quiet and active periods and solitary as well as group activities. The Children’s Center at the Boys’ and Girls Club is nationally accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC,) and is licensed through the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care.
The Center currently offers four programs:
- Sunshine Room: A half-day program for three and four-year olds
- Explorers Room: A full-day program for three-year olds
- Rainbow Room: A full-day program for four-year olds
- SEED Program: A full and part-time pre-kindergarten program for five-year olds
Children in our programs can experience all that the Boys' and Girls' Club facility has to offer, including the skating rink, swimming pool, woodworking shop, kitchen and computer lab. During the summer months, children enrolled in the Center spend the half-days at Camp Russell on Richmond Shores.
Please feel free to call the Center at 442-6106 for information.
